getting proper tips is a huge upgrade for any in-ear ear pod thing.
The stock tips apple puts on their airpods do not fit my ears -- they
don't seal, they fall out, or they're too big and hurt, but a
replacement set of silicone covered foam ones makes them fit
perfectly, good seal,  more sound isolation, and more comfortable. One
travel tip: pack a spare pair, or at least the originals, because they
don't last forever, and you will be very mad if they break at the
start of a flight.  (I learned this hard way...)

Another traveo point: I had over the ear 'phones for a long time.
They work great, but they were annoying on planes, because you can't
lean the side of your head on the wall, it moves the cup and is
uncomfortable.
