It’s been a long time since I got out of the tire business, but even 20 years ago, there were a lot of different alloy rim weight styles, for different profiles of wheels.  I expect it’s more complicated now. Are you using the right one?  


I second the recommendation for stick on weights.  Clean the rim well before you put them on, and they should stay on a long time.
