[Shop-talk] Which hose for compressed air (reel)?

I bought what I thought was a Goodyear hose from Harbor Freight about three years ago. It did not last more than 6 months. It was not abused. Lived inside a PVC conduit that ran from the inside of the house to the inside of the garage. I happened to notice a huge bulge\blister on the side of the hose were it came out of the came out of the garage end of the conduit. Removed it and threw it in the trash.
