[Shop-talk] Automatic driveway gates

Jim, I’m looking into something similar as an anti-theft device for my 1967 Datsun. I found a project on line that consists of your cell phone & an Arduino device. It acts like the keyless entry systems that modern vehicles have. You just walk up, or in your case, drive up & the gate opens. No button press required. When your phone is out of range the gate closes (if you program the Arduino to behave like that). 

I’ll be interrupting the ignition & starter power on the car.
