We don't even need a hose reel - it is very light, and shrinks up to a manageable size. Easily stored in the garage out of the weather with all the other tools. We use these couplers to quickly connect it to one of the outdoor taps https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00835N902 Bulletproof, and the gaskets are available from Dixon to repair them if they start to leak (uncommon). I still have my hose reel for my 200 feet of Craftsman rubber hose, which is going on 20 years old now. If I could find a durable nozzle, I'd be in great shape. So far, this one has been the most satisfying, meaning it's lasted more than a year: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08S6KGJ3Q On Mon, Jul 4, 2022 at 9:47 AM DAVID MASSEY wrote: > > Hat's off to Jimmie for his recommendation of the Flexzilla hose. They have pretty low torque limits, and I broke one boring floor joists. (100 year old pine is hard; bit stuck, gear train went boom) I got a real right angle drill, which is vastly superior. But for a few holes, an adapter will be okay. They?re not precision tools, but that?s probably not important for you. The right angle impact driver adapters are cheaper, and have the same problems. I did a walk-through video by room/type (e.g., shop/garage), then watched it and made a list of the items with model number and on bigger things serial number (also PDF receipts, but State Farm did not ask for those). Simple and effective with State Farm and a bonded warehouse (used the same method to inventory our items in storage). My Nikon DSLR also records video but I have never used that mode. Both are rated as HD & take very good photos, so try what you have, I suspect it will be more than good enough, it can?t hurt. If you need something better, something digital would be best. When/if you need to move the videos to something newer it won?t degrade during the update like older analog stuff will. I remembered that I had made an inventory video of everything in the house and especially the shop/tools showing everything on every shelf and every drawer. took awhile. I used a vhs video camera and transferred it to video cassette tape. I realized today I have nothing to view this video on anymore I need to update the whole inventory as things have changed... don't think my phone will do it and wondering what is the best device/media/etc to use...Technology has left me in the dust.. suggestions for equipment and format are appreciated... admitting this is an old man on a limited budget and limited tech knowledge.. in other words KISS strategy.. thanks john _______________________________________________ Shop-talk at autox.team.net Donate: http://www.team.net/donate.html Suggested annual donation $12.96 Archive: http://www.team.net/pipermail/shop-talk http://autox.team.net/archive Unsubscribe/Manage: http://autox.team.net/mailman/options/shop- talk/jamesf at groupwbench.org -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Just sayin' since you seem skeeved about the Contacts access. PJ ________________________________ From: Shop-talk on behalf of Shannah Miller Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2022 6:29 PM To: Tim . I finally got around to cleaning up those lines and now I have two irregular holes in the side of my kegerator, leaking out 34? air. Whomever did these was not interested in his workmanship. They're .5 inch by .75 inch, more or less, so round plugs really don't work. The sheet metal is also pretty jagged. I hear you.? My beer fridge is in my garage next to my TR8 (obligatory car content).? My only saving grace is I don't keep glasses out there so tapping the keg involves the inconvenience of going back into the kitchen to fetch one. I've found that those step drills do a very good job of rounding out odd shaped holes and leave a pretty clean edge.? I'd consider drilling out to fit a common snap-in plug. Brewery stickers are obligatory on a kegerator.? The more, and the more obscure, the better. I have three kids (9, 7, 4.75) and that's why I have a 256GB storage iPhone SE2! I also have a couple of GoPro cameras, which take shockingly good video (and have removable micro-SD card storage). That said, if what you have is your mobile phone (or a tablet with a camera), I would just do the video walkthrough (don't rush, and talk to the camera to elaborate/explain what's being seen as if you're talking to your insurance adjuster) and save it both locally (USB sticks are cheap and durable) and in your preferred cloud provider. I'll add that if you have VHS, 8mm and/or Beta video cassettes (or LaserDiscs) you'd like converted to digital (or modern physical media), I can do that. -Peter On Tue, Jul 19, 2022 at 10:21 AM john niolon wrote: > Yea, Jim I could use stills and a notebook to record details but it would > be a lot of pictures and writing.. just thinking now I have over 70 drawers > if > tools in my shop alone and would require a good bit of detail of written > detail where "a picture is worth...."
