figured out there is only one way to put three hdmi inputs thru a theater 
system with one import... I need an hdmi switch.. should be here next 
week.nothing is easy anymore

Not sure that is this your problem, but SOME HDMI cables are polarized (meaning 
input to output must go in a certain direction.) 

I found this out the hard way.  Maybe you have an incompatible cable on the one 
device.
