[Shop-talk] Spark Plug Cleaner

If I had one, I'd probably use it. No danger to the plug AFAIK, but I worry about a piece of grit getting caught where I can't see it, then later falling out in the cylinder. 

What I do instead is to spray it with carb cleaner, then immediately start heating with a propane torch. The carb cleaner will burn off, but keep heating until there is no trace of yellow in the flame. Obviously use pliers or tongs to hold the plug.  The result won't look new, but it will run.
