[Shop-talk] I'm embarrassed to ask, but I need a little help.

OK, so I really no nothing about Mercedes engines, but I do know how 
to google.  Are you sure there are really two different engines with 
different valve seals?  It looks like there is just one engine that 
is 4663cc, and it's just a matter of whether you round up or

Edmunds talks about the

2007 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class SUV with the

4.7L V8 AWD 7-speed Automatic.  then in further down it says the 
all-new 4.6-liter gasoline engine will be the only one powering the 
all-wheel-drive GL450 in the U.S. market.  That article is here:

I can see why you would be confused.  I have looked through all this 
stuff and it's not very clear.
