[Shop-talk] Carpal tunnel syndrome?

While I was editing my last post with numb hands I thought maybe some folks here had run into this issue and thought about, or gotten, the surgery. I've had it for 20 years and it only acts up when I do a bunch of remodeling, which I'm going to be doing for the next few years. A friend got the surgery years ago and highly recommends it. I'm very leery of being cut open, at least as much because of infection as for the potential to make things worse.

Thoughts?
