There is no way I would do this.  On my drill, if 
you look into the vent slots while the drill is 
running, you see sparks.  If you are going to 
bother buying a pump, just go get a small 
electric fuel  pump.  There are still risks, but 
at least you are dealing with something intended 
for gasoline.  You can find suitable pumps for 
not much money.  Here's one example,  pretty much selected at random.
