Darrell,
Clear, low or no VOC epoxy should work fine as a potting compound and you should be able to find a UV stable product.

Subject: [Shop-talk] pourable UV resistant clear finish?
I want to customize the wheel center caps on my TR8. I have some Triumph badges I want to use, but they are intended for the steering wheel of a TR7, so I don’t think they are designed to hold up to exterior use. I was thinking of sticking them in the center caps, the pouring a layer of some kind of clear to seal and protect them. But the question is what to use? I bought some UV cure polyester, but it had a slight blue tint (which might be OK), but it also popped out of the plastic cup I was using as a test part way though the cure. There are clear epoxy coatings, though I don’t know how clear they will be, and how well they will hold up to UV (though the car isn’t stored outside). Any other ideas?
