[Shop-talk] Admittedly off topic, but I know you guys have these answers. Please forgive me.

Add me to the list of those who have had jetted tubs and rarely used them. I always thought one would be terrific, but once I had one I never found it much better than just a long soak or a long hot shower. Both of my units were tradition Jacuzzi’s, so I can’t say for sure that a new air bubble type would have been better, but I can’t see ever going to the trouble and expense of installing one again. Space permitting, I’d much rather spring for an extra long tub.
As for electric radiant heat, we put that in a bathroom under tile and it was terrific. We had ours set to keep the room at a constant temp most of the time (it was the bathroom’s primary source of heat, along with a hydronic towel bar), but bumped that up about an hour before I would normally wake up and keep it that way for a few hours. One thing to keep in mind: I am pretty sure that most of them require a dedicated 20 amp circuit, so you should put that in now while it is easy, even if you haven’t made up your mind.
