[Shop-talk] Snow blower

It's hard to say without looking at it.  $200-$300 is probably what I'd 
pay for one in good condition though at 5HP it might be a little 
under-powered if it's a 2-stage model.  If it's a single-stage model (do 
they even make 24-inch single-stage blowers?), I don't think I'd pay 
more than $150 unless it's in pristine condition.

If you do decide to look at it, check the auger to make sure it's not 
about to rust apart (that happened to me once).  And if you buy a 
2-stage model...either this one or a different one...be sure to buy a 
set of shear pins for that model.  You can 5-packs on Amazon pretty 
cheap.  The shear pin is sacrificial and protects the engine and auger 
if you hit something hard (like a chunk of ice).
