[Shop-talk] What sticks to a plastic dash?

I used one of these:

Ram Mount bases to mount a handheld ham radio to the dash of my Subaru.  
It works fine.  I got another one to use in my GMC pickup and I either 
didn't prep the dash well enough, or something else went wrong, but the 
peel and stick adhesive with the base won't stay stuck to the plastic 
dash.  Ram apparently doesn't sell the peel and stick adhesive pad 
separately, so I need to find something else.

Suggestions?
