    I put seven 4' T8 fixtures from HD in my garage a few years ago.  They 
do not appear to care about temperature.  My garage is effectively 
unheated, although it is insulated, so it sees well-below-freezing 
temperatures here in Illinois, especially when I open the door.  Mine are 
probably about 8 years old, so unless they've gotten worse, you should be 
fine.

    The T12s they replaced would not work below freezing.
