So, after a rather long delay, I finally got around to getting a
drawer. I called a few localish shops, and got either blown off or
told it would be expensive. I ended up buying from Western Dovetail
(drawer.com). I got the cheapest option (birch plywood), and nice
slides. The box is way better than the stuff in our kitchen (stock
big-box cabinets from about 1990, particle board and bad mdf), was
exactly the ordered size, and the slides fit perfectly (I had them
drill and notch for them. Totally worth it.). Turnaround as a bit
more than a week, plus shipping time. About $90 all together, ($40
for the box, 30 for the hardware, 20 shipping). There hardware prices
are a little high, and if I were doing more than a couple, I go else
where, but for one, it's worth the extra $5 or so.
