I prefer solvent based cleaners. Kerosene will work but it's smelly and
oily. Likewise diesel. I prefer regular mineral spirits/paint
thinner/stoddard solvent. If you're feeling wealthy, you can use
Agitene, but I don't think it works much better than regular mineral
spirits.
