[Shop-talk] windshield repair DIY?

I have around 4 or 5 different bullseyes and small cracks between my cars and
those of the kids.
Does anyone have any experience with getting set up to do such repairs beyond
the $10-15 kits at the FLAPS?

I figure even if I spend $150 on the tools, resin and a UV lamp I will still
be ahead and will have added another capability to the shop arsenal.
