I'm just curious, does no one use the kind that actually senses brake fluid
pressure in the tow vehicle anymore?

It's been a long time since I've towed with electric brakes, but it seemed
like a good setup at the time.  The controller knows exactly how hard you
are pressing on the pedal, as opposed to an accelerometer that gets affected
by hills, suspension travel, etc.
