I've got a "ION film 2 SD". It works but as mentioned it is slow - the
device hold 4 slides to be slid through one at a time. It'd be nice if
someone invented a (inexpensive...) device that accepts the old slide
carousels.

Also, inspect your slides closely before scanning. It perfectly replicates 
any dust...
