The other problem is when you need to take in a part and find a
compatible
one - i.e. a connector that may come in multiple sizes.  You can't do
that
on the internet.  Similar to going to a hardware store and everything is
in
sealed packages - you can't see if the fitting threads on to the one in
your
hand like you could in old fashioned hardware stores...
