come on guys ???  it's not like your wasting a hundred feet of wire ... just 
set your wire feed to lowest or zero and pull the trigger for a foot or so 
of feed.. a couple of seconds will purge the hose.  It's under pressure and 
surely your hose is no longer than 10' or so.
