I hate to chime in with the obvious, but are you guys making sure to prime
the fuel line prior to starting?  There is a bulb that needs to be squeezed
until it gets very hard before you try to start it.

If you know about this step, I don't mean to insult you or anything, it
would cause the problem you are seeing however.
