No, I don't know that.  I don't claim to be intimate with every engine made
in the last 20 years;  Those are just the only engines I know of offhand.
But since every single one I have owned has roller lifters, it seems likely
to me that it's common.

Besides, you said they "never have", so it only takes one counter-example to
show that is not a correct statement.
