I'm sorry; what I meant was a standard _machine_ screw thread.  Of course
5/16NF is a standard thread for other types of screws, like SHCS.  But for
every source I looked at, fine thread machine screws stopped abruptly at
1/4", no matter what head, material or length; even when they had coarse
thread machine screws to 3/8".
