Use a left-hand twist drill instead of the typical right-hand twist drill.  Don't forget you need to run your drill motor in reverse. 

Standard drills only tighten screws unless you are lucky enough to be able to drill from the back side of the part.

I have found that in the cases where a left-hand drill did not remove the bolt due to torque and vibration, the EZ-out doesn't work anyway and I wind up having to retap.
