Martin, the question is …
Is your truck a 55 first series (looks like a 54) or is your truck a 55 2nd series (looks like a 56)? I’m guessing that it is a 55 second series because you are looking for a “food grill and emblem” which I think is a type and should have been a “hood grill and emblem”.

Is your GMC a 54/55 or 55/56? I have a 54/55 GMC hood that is in very good condition that I am not going to use.

Would you consider a custom "food grill and emblem" Martin?
I made this one myself for my '57 GMC 102. When the truck was totaled the
hood grill & emblem was the only part I kept.
See attached.

Still need a food grill and emblem for a 55/56 GMC PU/Panel
Good to hear from you guys. I can't count the years I've been on this list.

Smokey,
The removal of the cowl vent on my 54 was pretty straight forward AFTER I
fabricated a rotisserie for the cab. I haven t worked on any of my projects
for about 5 years due to several surgeries on my right foot. I thought I
would heal quickly and that isn t the case. My cowl vent is out and on a
shelf. Two little bolts on each side and then two more of the same fasten
the handle to the cowl. I ll be 80 next month and I ve been thinking about
liquidating this mess.

I need to remove the cowl vent from my 1950 3600 to clean up and replace the
gasket. Is there a video or some instructions for this?
Thanks!
