Gas mileage depends on much more than the model of the truck.
Rear end ratio?
Condition of engine? Compression test all cylinders.
Tune up? Spark plugs, points, set timing?
Carburetor condition? Float height? Choke working properly?
Air filter clean?
If all of the above are just right and you have a mild rear end ratio like 3.73:1 then you can expect 15+ mpg.

Does a 1984 Silverado count as an ole truck? I am looking for a used truck
and found a 1984 Silverado with a 350. I was wondering if anyone on the list
owns one or ever owned one and can tell me how it was on gas. It has two gas
tanks and it is a full size truck with a 350 engine. I need it to pull my
boat and I assume it doesn't get excellent mileage, but I'm hoping it isn't
terrible. I will mostly drive this truck to pull my boat to the river and to
drive while I work on my S-10.
I am still working on my 55 Chevy truck but it is still a long way away from
driving, much less pulling a boat.
Did anyone make it to the Run To The Sun show at Myrtle Beach this weekend?
It is put on my by the Pee Dee Street Rodders every year and this year,
there were 2449 cars and trucks registered and the weather was great.
Thanks for any help and I apologize if this is off topic for the list.
