[Oletrucks] 58-59 fleetside deluxe trim

Don't I know this is the truth. This will be my third marriage, and my
fianci said it will be my last (sounded more like a threat than anything
else). Only woman I've ever dated who doesn't mind me playing on a pool
league, poker league, and spending countless hours in the shop. Seems like
a good match this time.
If not, I still have my old truck.
Jim

Fiance's and wives come and go. These old trucks last a long time.

Too late now... In Jan I bought a 56 GMC truck for $1,500 just for the
parts. Ironically enough it was actually in better shape than the 57 I've
been working on (sheet metal wise). My fianci about had a fit... LOL
Now I have three full sets of the 57/56 fenders (two full sets came with the
57 when I purchased it, of course NONE of them are in great shape). And a
ton of extra parts laying around. I think I might have another project
(LOL, just don't tell my fianci that is why I haven't gotten rid of them
yet).

We all have our own idea of the perfect truck. Ironically I almost converted
my 57 to duel headlights... LOL
I've been working on my for about a year... Anyone want to see pictures of
it join my facebook page (search "Jim Krontz Truck"). Most of my changes are
in the drive line (383 stroker with two 4 brls, 400 turbo, 3.73 gear, posi,
disc/drum conversion, p/s, a/c) and some on the outside GMC hood (like
getting extra air though the hole), fulton visor, fender skirts... etc.
Enjoy and keep us all posted.

You're nixing the dual headlights? It's not gonna look like a '59 anymore.

Hey Guys!
I've just acquired a 59 short fleetside bed for my project truck and would
love to add the deluxe bed side trim. Anyone have a set they would be
willing
to part with? I'm just starting the building phase of a truck that has been
running around in my head for years. I'm starting with the cleanest 55-2
cab
you'll ever see, the 59 short fleet bed, 57 Chevy fenders and grill and a 57
GMC hood. The power plant will be the 261 and 4 speed from the 55-2 6400
the
cab came from with plans for Fenton headers and an Offy dual or triple 1bbl
intake. Lowered, of course, shaved, black primer, red artillery wheels,
exterior sun visor and a few other vintage touches. The deluxe trim on the
bed will be the only bright work on the whole thing.
So if anyone has a set of the deluxe trim they'll sell or know where I might
find set, I'd sure appreciate the help.
Thanks
Rob
