[NOBBC] OUR NEXT RIDE : ANNIVERSARY #11

Well, we had a nice little 5 car ride today and a GREAT lunch at Busters.

 

Next week on Saturday August 4th it's the 11th Anniversary of our little
Club.

 

We will be doing our annual Anniversary ride which is quite special.

 

The ride meets at the parking lot at the bottom of the Lake Sonoma Dam at
10AM.

 

The quick way to get there is to drive up Highway 101 to Cloverdale ( almost
) and take the Dutcher Creek Road exit

and head west. Turn right onto Dry Creek Road and drive up to the Dam. There
are 2 parking lots. Let's meet at the one

on the South Side of the street. Not the Hatchery one.

 

>From there we will drive over the incredibly scenic Skaggs Springs Road to
the coast at Stewarts Point.

This is an amazing sports car drive. The sights are breathtaking.

 

At Stewarts Point there is a general store where you can buy sandwiches but
I hear they are really slow.

So I encourage you to bring a lunch.

 

>From Stewarts Point we head a few miles south to Salt Point State Park where
we will have a picnic lunch and go to the scenic overlook

where 2 of our founders ashes have been strewn. There are picnic tables
there but one never knows how many people will be there

so I implore you to bring folding chairs. 

 

Also, when going to Salt Point you never know the weather conditions so
bring a jacket.

 

So, next Saturday definitely bring a full tank of gas, a chair and a lunch

and we'll meet at the Lake Sonoma Dam at 10am.
