Great coasts.... I love them all A-K... stay at Victoria House if you can.

Hi All, I'm suggesting a Mt. Tamalpais run for Saturday the 8th of
September. 

 

Marin members meet at the Java Hut 760 Center Blvd. in Fairfax at 9:30.

 

We'll drive north to meet Sonoma members at either the Cheese Factory or
Tomales, opinions?

 

>From there we'll head south via Point Reyes Station and beautiful Ridgecrest
road to the top of Mt/ Tam where there are picnic tables and restrooms. 

 

For any hardy souls who want more twisty roads, we'll head down to Stinson
Beach and south to the British pub, The Pelican Inn.

 

>From there it's an easy jaunt over to hwy. 101 if you want to take the
freeway or head north on hwy. 1 for the scenic route home.

Those of us that had some of the first of the original Minis understand that.
They all had sliding windows. the crank ups were a huge upgrade.
People with primitive vehicles should be able to relate you know, like people
with Morgans and HRGs.

Did you know that Nevada rest stops have free Wi-Fi?   How cool is that?

Even though part of that drive is my routine between Mill Valley and Inverness, I absolutely agree that we should get the Northerners down here to show them the pleasure of Ridgecrest, and with a bit of luck the fog may have burned off by September 8th, although frequently the higher parts of Mount Tam are above it anyway.

Racing Green when I was finished with it. Some jackass in a Boss 302 Mustang 
ran me off the freeway to to ask me to sell it to him. I did, and it was

Mark,

I hesitate to say modern cars, but there are cars built today that still use
the sliding glass windows in the door tops. and we could forget to put them
in sometimes.
The Land Rover Defender soft top models are delivered with the removable door
tops with sliding glass. but in a huge improvement over the OLD Land Rovers
built before 1984, now BOTH glass pieces slide.   Whopeee.   I do worry about
what the Indians or Chinese (where ever it is that they're building 'em now)
are going to do with these things though.  See samples below.

My good friend and ticket champion at Sears Point / Infineon / Sonoma Raceway,
Mike D'Addario has moved on to work for FlowMaster, and I now have a new tikky
boy, Chris Palmer. Chris called me yesterday to inform me that there will be
an open car corral at the upcoming WTCC World Touring Car Championship event
at 'THE TRACK' 9-22 & 23. This car corral will be held on the lawn at Turn 11,
the cost is as follows:

Weekend
Event ticket, Corral pass, Garage / Pit pass            $95      No Garage

Also, and probably more to our liking, the CSRG event is October 5  - 7th, if
