I will be happy to be the person who does the ride reminders and scheduling.
I will also be happy to be a ride leader as long as I know the route we are
taking.
Ron's knowledge of the local roads was huge and mine is not.
Greg's version of our future is how I foresee it as well,

Regarding the future of the club, there will always be a NOBBC as long
as there are British car lovers in this area who want to share the
driving experience with friends and cohorts. Continuing with the
organizational tasks should be pretty easy; notify members of drives and
events, moderate the mailing list, coordinate with Tcherek for the web
site (which needs updating and a memorial for Ron), and maintaining the
membership list.
Unless and until anyone objects or wants to take on all or part of those
responsibilities, I will be in touch with Candy, as well as Mark
Bradakis, the AutoX list owner to obtain the necessary password to take
over the moderator duties and get access to the membership list. I'll
also get in touch with Tcherek regarding the website.
Since we get busy with work during the summer months, we don't make all
of the drives, so while I am willing to notify members of the upcoming
drives, it would be great if one or two other people can put themselves
in the position of coordinating with the others so that at least one
person is always available to take the leadership position on each
drive. John Kenner and I have worked together on many NOBBC and GGLC
drives and BBQs as well as some of my tech sessions, so I'm going to ask
him now if he'll agree to do this (I think the answer is yes), so how
about one or two more volunteers?
I like John's idea of a memorial drive on Ron's birthday, but am hoping
it wasn't during the rainy season - I'll ask Candy unless someone knows
Ron's Bday.
