Sarto. Please tell me a bit about PRI Race. Machine shop, speed shop,
rebuild shop, tune shop? Do they have a dyno?
Thanks,
Clif 74 JH

Hi Rich, Chris at PRI race, was going to add his carb setup to my Spitfire
but
I sold it for the Lotus before the we made the switch. A few years ago, he
said that he has made the same setup for a Lotus Europa twin-cam and could do
Elans. Keith Franck has my webers purring with his new jetting and E-tubes.
He has new mods coming for even better improvements. To bad we can not post
photos here but if you go to my web site you will see my 1970 spitfire with
Miata seats with a T9 5 speed conversion.

Sold it after I finished a restoration with only 300 miles on it for the
Lotus
Elan. Wish I had the space I would have kept the Spitfire. I still have
some
parts, like a new glove box that may not not fit yours?? give me a call
481-6700Gregs suggestion to go the Johnny Franklin muffler is where I got him
to do a couple of changes and got my noise level controlled and I still can
hear the weber when I am on it. And he is real reasonable.Sarto

Greg,

I will have to look at my notes for the specs on the carb. I ordered all of
the parts through Pierce Manifolds. They asked me for all of the specs on the
engine rebuild and punched those numbers in to their computer and it spit out
the proper part #'s. When I rebuilt the carb, all the parts fit fine and the
engine fired right up. We ran it in through various RPM's with no load and
after a little tweaking it performed beautifully. I think if I were to use
multiple carbs I would go with a set from PRI Race. Chris Cancelli has
developed a set of 4 motorcycle carbs and a manifold as a kit for the
Spitfire. I used his full coil over suspension kit (front and rear) on my
car.
Really nice kit, got rid of the transverse leaf spring and hopefully all of
the handling problems that it caused. I was pressed for time and he hand
delivered the suspension parts to my Dad's shop in Crescent City! Now that's
what I call service! He also makes parts for Alfa Romeos. Here's their
website: www.prirace.com

Cheers,
Rich
