Hi, I did the HVDA (Herman van den Akker) conversion, and it was truly
seamless. Everything fit, even the TR4A flywheel takes the new clutch, no
drilling required. The car is completely transformed, completely relaxed at
highway speeds (whatever they are, haven't recalibrated the speedo yet),
with no rattles and no boat anchor hanging off the back end of the trans as
on the old TR tranny. The only thing that requires some close measurements
is the installation of the hydraulic throwout bearing, to be sure you don't
overextend it. I would highly recommend the conversion, and Herman is very
helpful, if you have any questions along the way. Feel free to ask me any
questions.
