Hi Ron, I've sent in an application, with the required photo and hefty entry
fee for my MGA Coupe.  I won't know if it has been accepted until later.  I
expect it will depend on how many "trailer queens" apply.

Andy with 2000 miles already on the car and going strong.

I know some of you went last year and might be interested in this. Seems 
a bit pricey for an auto show so maybe a Marinite might be willing to 
lead a ride for those who don't want to enter the show to view the show 
(Hint)

Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance
May 16th, 2010 - Marin Civic Center San Rafael, CA

SAN RAFAEL, CA -- Celebrate the art and history of the automobile!
Having set
the precedent as a world-class show and successful fundraiser for
Hospice By The Bay,
the Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance returns to the Marin County
Fairgrounds for its
second year on May 16th from 9:00 to 4:00. The event will showcase 200
exotic and rare
vehicles on the lawn and 16 beautiful classic wooden boats in the
lagoon. The featured
marque for 2010 is Porsche.

You are invited to submit your automobile for consideration as an entrant.
Applications are available beginning January 1st 2010.
Preference will be given to cars that did not participate last year.
Entry fee is $60 if submitted before March 15th and $85 there after.
Entry fee will be returned for any vehicle not selected. The fee
includes admission for two
adults, gift program and two continental breakfasts.

Cars will be judged on interior, exterior, engine and chassis based on
authenticity, general
appearance, care and preparation. Any entrant may elect to have a car
judged or entered as
exhibit only. Cars being judged will have field priority. Where
possible, single marque classes
will be judged by individual marque judges using their own rules and
guidelines.
All First in Class winners will be eligible to compete for Best of Show
- Concours d'Elegance
or Best of Show - Concours de Sport. Cars that won their class in 2009
are not eligible to be
judged this year and will be displayed adjacent to the Concours Field.

In addition to the concours proper, the event will host several special
exhibits including vintage
commercial vehicles from the Bay Area and historic Hot Rods and "Kustom
Kars." There will also
be exhibitors of exceptional automotive products and services plus live
music, food, wine tasting
and micro brew sampling as well as car related art.

The designated charity for this event is Hospice By The Bay, a
non-profit, end-of-life healthcare
provider that has been comforting and caring for seriously ill patients
and their families since 1975.
