I would second the Rear End Shop.
I just had them change the pinion seal on my Alger $100.
Done in one day.
My neighbor had them rebuild the rear end in his TR6.
He is the one that told me about them.

Don't go to a repair shop (British or not) for your differential! The
Rear End Shop 54 Maxwell CT, Santa Rosa does TRs and they do a great
job. I had my 73 TR diff repaired there after a catastrophic failure
after 300,000 miles. 8 years later... no problems. Very reasonable
price. In the range of 250 to 300 $ with parts. Phone is 526-0200. It
helps $$ wise considerably if you can remove the unit and deliver it to
the RES. These folks do nothing but and do it well. Highly recommended!
And getting the diff out isn't as bad as it might seem to be. Though, if
you need the mounts strengthened I would check with Moss motors for the
available repair kit. Order it then still go to RES for the work.

Tony,

Need to get the diif rebuilt and would like to have the front and rear
diff mounts strengthened to avoid the clunking rear syndrome.
