I agree with John. 100 miles of motoring at 25 mpg = $16 or thereabouts.
I think I can afford that. I will be trying to make both rides this
month. But who the hell knows. Stuff happens.
The Virgin Islands were as always a great experience. Pia and I had a
blast. Living in my own place down there for the first time was
exciting. We repainted just about the entire interior of the condo,
bought some new furniture, TV, sound system and hung some new art work
as well as doing a bit of preventative maintenance. And, we still had
plenty of time for snorkeling, exploring, island hopping and thoroughly
enjoying more than a dram of rum. It was tough coming back until I laid
eyes on our beautiful home here again. Where to be? USVI?...Sonoma
County?...tough choice! Thankfully I don't have to choose one or the
other, just arrange time every year to enjoy both. I am pining for
retirement. Doing a seminar in June to figure out if I can afford it
yet. Oh please, please.

Well, I think we need to start a discussion to figure that out. Is it
time to start our two rides per month starting at 10 AM? Or should we
have one ride (gas IS expensive!) and start earlier? Does anyone have a
ride destination they would like to share with the club? Anyone in Marin
want to lead a ride there? What do my fellow club members want to do?
Speak up and be heard...this is our equivalent of a club meeting so
let's hear from all of you and get some kind of concensus. Personally,
I'm ready for two rides but I would like someone else to lead for a
change!
