Where is Twin Pine Casino? When do they want to do this? Hopefully after 
I get the Lotus rebuilt, sometime in April!
Regarding John's fine gathering place, don't forget we'll be hosting a 
gearbox tech session there at 10:00 am on April 5. I'll be opening up 
John's Lotus 'box and sorting it out. I'll also be bringing an 
assortment of parts for comparison, including a TR6 gearbox, so it 
should be informative for those who haven't poked around inside a 
gearbox, and probably not so much for those who have, but it will be a 
nice gathering. It's a bring your own food and drink affair for those 
who want to stay through lunch. Those who need directions, email John 
Kenner at fawn220 at comcast.net, not the club list.

Twin Pines is over the top of Mt. St. Helena before you get to 
Middletown. I know the club stopped there at least once on a Lake County 
run. It's relatively small and easy to miss but not too bad as Indian 
casinos go.

so morgan it is getting worked on but it may take a few days-

Steve - thank you so much for your efforts and enthusiasm! I had half- 
hoped that a fender (correct on it being lh front) would be emerging  
from the woodwork at this point as I had no problem sourcing one on  
the east coast. there is the consolation that if one does not show up  
soon I can always pursue having one shipped west.

Subject: [Nobbc] Saturday's ride info

Our March ride will be this coming Saturday 3/15 and will be hosted by
club member Allan Morgan. He has arranged a visit for us to the Sonoma
County Air Museum. We will meet at the commuter lot just west of 101 on
River Rd. (PG&E Substation) at 10 AM. The air museum is a truly
interesting place and a local treasure, don't miss it! We will be
lunching there so make sure to bring something to eat.

The Pacific Coast Air Museum Has 26 aircraft on display. Park your car
by your favorite plane for some great photo ops. Also, there will be
several air craft open, like the Huey Helicopter, to "climb aboard".

We'll precede the museum with a ride through some of the counties back
roads. Bring your lunch as there is a large covered patio where you can
sit back have a cool brew & enjoy the view of the air craft.   As a
non-profit museum, it does ask a $5.00 donation

     Regarding your inquiry to the nobbc club, I have a Jaguar Mk V DHC 1950, 
which was built on a chassis that later was later used for the early 120 Xk's 
sports car. The SS 100 was a two seater and the cars preceding the MK V were 
2 1/2 or 3 1/2 liter and dubbed the MV IV 1946-7 & 8 (?) These later Mk's were 
all five seaters.
     The Classic Jaguar Association of which I am a member has lists of all 
Jaguars from the early 100s and prior and most of the subsequent Marks up to X. 
For more information try 
ClassicJaguars.org. They also have some parts available, meets and lists of 
all cars that have been registered with them and other sources. The annual 
membership is $41.00 and you can get some information by E-mail or telephone.

including whole engines/transmissions (also an MGA MkII engine/trans) he 
has to get rid of . His shop is being torn down in 2 months due to a 
road widening project I have no other details so contact him directly if 
interested.

i bought my tr4a grill from him in ,93-
has a bent fin but a good grill,

Considering that a new TR-6 fender is listed at $566 + shipping in the
Moss catalogue I think Wayne is whistling in the wind. I have bought a
few things from him over 25 + years but only when I couldn't find the
items anywhere else. You would think he was selling gold.

Sad to say but with the state of economic affairs in this neck of the 
woods Cattlemen's would have to be spelled MacDonalds.

It had slipped my mind, the Nobbc tech session is on the 5th in John 
Kenner's barn...a great place for a get together with the Nobbc gang. 
Deano was at the ride today, and later with Maria at the museum. It was 
good to see him, been a while.

I'd like to throw a big plug in for this session. Even if you aren't 
particularly interested in the guts of a manual transmission, you will 
still be able to socialize and shoot the bull with other members while 
learning a thing or two. I'm sure if you have any questions, the 
collective wisdom of the members present will be able to answer them. 
Plus John has a great barn in a scenic part of our county. I hope to see 
lots of you there to enjoy one of the benefits of membership in our 
club. I'm guessing as we get closer to the date Greg or John will 
provide event details so you'll be able to find it.

Hi Ron and group,
Thanks for the comments.
This has now turned into a BBQ and tech session. In addition, I have 
sent out an invitation to the Golden Gate Lotus Club members (hey - it's 
a Lotus Elan gearbox...), to improve the turnout and provide 
opportunities to meet some other enthusiasts. It looks like some of the 
NOBBC members had conflicting schedules, but now it looks like Ron, 
Sheryl and Dennis, Robin, and Dawson are coming.

Details:

The BBQ is pot luck, but John will provide the salads and paper plates. 
Please bring what you want to cook and any drinks. Bring folding chairs 
for yourself as well.

The possibilities of this turning into a BBQ as well as a tech  
session... Hmm, I had not thought of BBQing a Lotus gearbox, though  
whilst doing repairs I have often contemplated solving my Lotus  
problems by simply setting fire to the whole thing.

Of course, being fiberglass, it will be a cinch to get the blaze going...
I keep thinking it would be quicker just to lay out many thousands of
