[Mini] repairing/patching bucket seat fabric

Hi

I have a cobra bucket seat, this is covered in black fabric  over foam
padding over the fibreglass "tub". Where the fabric lies where my thighs
rub on the seat, the fabric has worn through to the foam

Has anyone sucessfully patched this sort of upholstery and how?
