read.  With analogue you just glance at the angle of the needle and you 

should know what speed you are doing, and that the fuel, temp and oil 

pressures are good ... oh I forgot, that wouldn't apply to a lot of drivers 

these days who don't even realise they have an indicator bulb blown when one 

side starts flashing at double speed.  But trying to keep an EXACT
