<p>I need to replace my gas cap anyway, so I'll add a new ground
cable (mine is a little frayed) to the order. When I install the
ground cable I'll clean the terminals and make sure everything is
tight, and I'll see if that gets rid of the problem. Maybe I'll
order a spare coil to keep in the glove box (I still have trouble
unlocking the trunk, but that's a different issue :-)) in case I
get stuck and need something else to try.</p>
<p>Thanks for the suggestions. I'm glad that the common opinion is
that it's not a carb problem.</p>

is a corrosion that sets up with disuse and the battery
tenders tend to foster this. Just take off the battery
connections and clean off the battery posts with a
battery cleaning tool. You know, the one with the stiff
steel bristles you put over the post and turn back and
forth. Then do the same for the battery cable
connections. You would be surprised how many times it's
the simple things like this that are the problem.</div>
