cork will be porous then it would be faulty, and even if it wasn't 'viewable' it
would still weep. If you mean from the rocker cover then ... fix

quite a bit more than that. Neither will leak if manufactured and fitted
correctly, and the covers are flat, and their surfaces and the block surfaces

<DIV>I am replacing the front side cover gasket on a 18V engine in my
1972 MGB. The cork gasket (as well as a rubber one) I ordered is
1/8 inch thick. The gasket I scrapped from the cover was paper
thin. The new gasket and cover sticks way out from the motor.</DIV>
