Once back home, I managed to get it to start but it runs very rough and</div><div id="yiv3885129712yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473084091522_30954" dir="ltr">generates some light smoke - not dense clouds, and not white (like with a head gasket leak) but stinky none-the-less. The tach is steady at idle. <br></div><div id="yiv3885129712yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473084091522_31114" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yiv3885129712yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473084091522_31115" dir="ltr">I've replaced spark plugs and distributor rotor, as well as cleaned the contacts in the plug leads. Just installed a new electronic fuel pump as the old one crapped out. Lines are clear</div><div id="yiv3885129712yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473084091522_31116" dir="ltr">and fuel filter fills nicely. Carb was rebuilt about 4 years ago and before the car died on me last year, the car ran very well. I did open it up to check the diaphragm and floats, they are fine</div><div id="yiv3885129712yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1473084091522_31135" dir="ltr">and the carb was clean inside.
