[Mgs] rivets or ?

I’m pretty sure they used small roundhead Phillips screws. That’s what is used on early MGBs.

They didn’t rivet the VIN tag until it became a Federal requirement in January 1969.

This image shows the type of screw used in 66-67, at least (although I believe this VIN tag is actually a fake, but that’s neither here nor there).
