He has a BW-T35 transmission and torque converter but needs the flex plate, bell housing, and gear selector box. Does anyone have any of these parts or know of a source where they can be purchased. It would also be helpful to know if there or interchangeable parts from other marks that can be used. Note that the screw heads are not painted body color, since they are affixed after the body is painted. They seem to have been black, although the originals are generally rusty. There are rivets on the engine number plate, but that?s a different issue ? those rivets can't be used in sheet metal. There may be pop rivets on the body number tag, but there is no point in removing these tags, since they are painted with the body. -- Max Heim '66 MGB > On Nov 11, 2024, at 11:02?AM, lon1950 at me.com wrote: > > When in doubt trust Barney. > https://mgaguru.com/mgtech/buying/buy101d.htm > > From: Mgs on behalf of Max Heim > Sent: Monday, November 11, 2024 12:02 PM > To: dave northrup > Cc: mgs at autox.team.net > Subject: Re: [Mgs] rivets or ? > > I?m pretty sure they used small roundhead Phillips screws.
