Yep, I got #65 of 300 last Saturday at the Kimber party event.  
They are of a high quality, however, the best numbers have already been sold.

I received this car in kit form, with a weber.

Swapped out the weber for SUs, and I am almost there.  Its been pretty interesting trying to integrate the B engine into the MGA.

Can someone send me a picture or provide directions on how the choke cable is hooked in?

This diagram may help.

The cable comes up from the bottom. The sheath is secured to lever 31 on rod 33. The cable end is secured to bracket 43, the U-shaped bracket with the protruding arm that secures the front carburetor. Pulling the choke handle rotates lever 31 upward by pulling the trunnion 36 toward the bracket.

but there are two as there are different terminal patterns to allow for

Which carbs? MGBs used HS4 & HIF. I've no experience with HIFs. In the 'B
the HS4 choke cable was attached with an odd bracket on the front carb.

I have HS4s in my MGA. I made a fitting for the choke cable that fits in a
hole that was already there on the rear carb. The inner cable then attaches
to the rear carb & the connecting link works them both. I thought I had a
photo somewhere but couldn't find it.

HSs had an unusual 'bottom up' arrangement where the outer bore on the 
lever on the choke spindle and pushed up as the dash control was pulled, 
the inner was tethered to an arm on the front air-cleaner mounting 
bracket.? Early HIFs were the same except the inner was tethered to the 
same bracket which had the socket for the throttle cable outer.? Later 
HIFs had the more usual arrangement of the outer sitting in the same 
bracket as the throttle cable outer and the inner pulled the choke lever

 These carbs are on an mgb engine in an mga.? We acquired this project in kit form so I'm not sure what i have.?
I suspect these are mga carbs?
And i don't know what to connect where.? ?The engine runs as is but I'm sure I'm missing something.? (Little joke there).

I should add that there car is mostly unassembled,  brand new wiring harness.   Firewall stuff is connected,  and the dash.   The fenders are not yet on so there are very few electrical items connected

No! Red wires are for lights (in this case likely dash gauge lights). A
connection to ground would be a dead short.

The attached 2 pictures show the generator and the starter.  I think there are problems with both.  Rebuilding the car from scratch with a new wiring harness; the dpo just used red, blue, and black so I cut the wires out.

The two tabs on the generator - both show a connection to ground with a multi meter.  I'm pretty sure that's bad.

The post on the starter - it too shows a connection to ground with a multi meter.  That's bad, too, right?

Actually, I've used 2 different multi meters with the same result.  And by ground I mean the chassis of the device itself

No battery installed yet, and the rest of the car is disconnected from these devices.

I think you are asking the wrong question. The question should be:
what resistance is there in the path to ground? Remember, current has
to flow when you try to start the car.

Dave, --- Likely nothing wrong with either of 
those devices, and they should both work okay.

The starter motor draws up to 200 amps at 12 
volts, so internal resistance is nearly nil, 
something less than 0.06 ohm, and it does look like a short to ground.

The Dymano puts out up to 20 amps at 16 volts 
max, working against 12.6 volts open circuit 
voltage of the battery, so only a few net s to 
drive he current.  So dynamo armature resistance 
is also very low. Think how fat the wires are in that armature.

The generator field coils may draw something like 
2-amps at 12 volts, so maybe 6-ohms resistance 
between the "F" terminal and gound on the housing 
(but I don't recall ever measuring it).  Power 
input requirement is not much more than a pair of 
brake light bulbs, maybe half of the power draw of the ignition coil.

This is where i am.   Its an mgb engine in an mga.  Didn't come with carbs so  i ordered some off ebay.  The engine runs with gas in the float bowls; I'm trying to attach the choke and accelerator cables but im missing parts.   But i don't know what.   Could really use some help here.   And i can cut the choke sheath if need be.

You need the CB front air-cleaner bracket for the choke inner. That has 
an arm with a hole in the end and the choke inner attaches to that with 
a trunnion.

For the throttle you need the link for the short lever underneath the 
throttle spindle and you need the heat shield for the outer and for the 
return springs for both throttle and choke.

Just noticed there _is_ a heat shield, didn't spot it originally painted 
engine colour.

So the choke cable is actually anchored by the bracket, attached to the carb body, so when you pull it out the sleeve causes the bottom piece to rotate up?  seems backwards to me.

Correct and yes it is backwards to the normal use of such cables, and is 
why the cable needs a smooth run clear of obstacles. Early HIFs had the 
same arrangement before reverting to the more normal system where the 
cable came down from the top the same as the throttle cable.
