	I suggest that there is a temperature component to tire life.  Tires used as little as Max’s have been would, it seems to me, be OK at present age if they had been stored in a refrigerator.  
	My observation of tires on MGB and truck when I moved to CT from FL is that the tires did not appear to age as quickly in CT.   I did—tires didn’t.   When replaced at 12 years, though, the difference in cornering grip was notable.
