e-mail signatureI'd say you don't need anything else, in fact you don't really need float cover gaskets!  The only other thing you might just possibly need on the road are spare jets in case the flex pipe between float chamber and jet starts leaking, but that is very very rare.  Even then you can carry on by disconnecting and plugging the fuel supply to that carb to have a 'limp' mode, it all depends how far you could be from obtaining a spare in a 'long' or remote trip.  If they are sound and set up correctly to begin with SU carbs are very reliable, hence the adage '90% of SU carb problems are caused by Lucas ignition'.
