[Mgs] Mgs Digest, Vol 127, Issue 6

Hi all,
I'm still lurking after 17 years:). Unfortunately we have sold our house
and are downsizing. Therefore our "baby" has to go as we will be homeless
after July 1st. The 79B has been sitting in the garage for 3 years without
being driven, waiting on my lazy ass to install a new starter. That's done
and it's once again licensed and running great.

Question: Years back, I desmogged it and installed HIF carbs and a points
distributor from a 74 parts car. Yesterday I had the points out and they
were set at .035 like the 79 manual says. It runs fine (a few years back I
had it up to 105 mph; wow was that scary:), but I was wondering if the
points need to be set somewhere around the .025 that the 74 manual says?
Thanks,
Monte 79B, Carmine $4500
