//I had a similar problem once.  The engine would stutter under load at 
high RPM.  Turned out there was a partial blockage at the fuel inlet of 
the front carb.  Apparently the front carb would run dry at high fuel 
demand, fill back up during light load.  Could happen to either carb, of 
cuss. :-(
